Taste Like a Professional

Saturday, February 2nd from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm – $35 per person

Experience wine tasting like a professional using the 3 step tasting process.  Learn about the different components in wine, make tasting notes, and identify your own wine profile.  This class is for beginning wine drinkers, for those who want to learn more about the wine they are drinking, or for those who want to improve their wine tasting skills or acquire the terminology to describe wine.

The Wine Making Process

Sunday, April 28th from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm – $35 per person

Participants will learn about each step in the wine making process and how these influence the taste of wine.  We will tour Drumlin Ridges wine production area, experience a barrel tasting. Back in the tasting room, participants will sample Drumlin Ridge wines using the 3 step tasting process and identify the wine making techniques.

From Vine to Wine

Sunday, August 25th from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm – $40 per person

Discover the meaning of “terroir” and how it affects the taste of wine. Tour Drumlin Ridges vineyards, explore grape farming and taste grapes off the vine being prepared for a timely harvest. Discuss the importance of the “wine grape” and what makes it different.  Sample Drumlin Ridge wines  from those very same  grapes tasted in the vineyard.

Food and Wine Pairing: Preparing for the Holidays

Sunday, November 17th from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm – $60 per person

Compare and contrast the components in both food and wine, and experience how they interact to create a pleasurable or not so pleasurable wine sensory experience. Participants will learn about proper wine storage and serving temperatures as well as  examine some classic holiday food and wine pairings. Then sample foods and Drumlin Ridge wines to apply what you have learned.
